MA passes new bill protecting home charging

Specifically from home owners associations who might give you a hard time when trying to get permission to install a home charger. There are a few interesting details in this.

- If you have to apply to your HOA for the install and they do nothing for 60 days... you get to do it legally anyway!

- if an electrician deems it “impossible” to hook up your charger to your personal meter - you can attach it to a common meter and pay the HOA back for you electrify usage

It’s a short bill and pretty clear in its language. We might have been dealt a blow in MA with the reduction in tax credit but this is definitely a win.

Why can’t you just do what you want on your own property? Oh right, Massachusetts.
It's not MA, it's the HOAs all over the country that are too hoity-toity over what you can and cannot do. From specifications on exterior paint colors to the height of grass blades to how many cars I can park outside; it's over reaching. That's why I would never live in one.
