Made a change with car config, and had redo finance

Very strange. I placed an order for a white/Black 19' AWD LR Y on 2/2/20. By the end of March, I completed the loan application (financed by US Bank, rate 2.75%), and was waiting for the contract to be drafted. Couple of weeks ago, I made a change and added FSD, and it was added to the financed total amount. Last night I decided to change the 19' wheels to 20', and that triggered a complete new application, and I had to run credit again. The good news I got better rate 2.63% with Chase- the not so good, they had to run my credit.

Not sure why it happened- I know that some loan applications are valid for 30 days only, but didn't see it coming.

im not an expert but from what i know, the bank actually gets your config/price sheet so if youre making changes to that, im sure they have to adjust some numbers on their end

When I added the $7k they didn't ask for anything, just added it to the total, but now when added $2k had to redo it...
