We sold out of the Magnetic Phone holders at the TMC Connect event, so if anyone was looking to get one, use coupon code "MAG2" at check out to get the show price of $15, which is a great price, plus you get a spare set of adhesive pads that retail separately on Amazon for $10. Code is good until the end of July.

If you check the reviews on our site, you'll see how useful these things are, I promise you'll be a convert as soon as you've used it for a few days. We were at a loss where to put our phones in the rental Jeep we had during our time in Monterey!

On a related note, you might want to pair it with a USB fast charger - from the many people we spoke to at TMC Connect, lots were using Waze (if you don't, you should, just to be forewarned of hazards and police), but the USB ports on the Model S will not keep up with the battery drain. The fast charger puts out 2.1amps, and still manages to charge an iPhone (or other smart phone) while using Waze, or any other battery-intensive app. It sits completely flush in the socket, so doesn't clutter up the Model S interior at all.

Nice, do you have a variation that could be attached to the leather and plastic dash in my old ICE?

The sticky pads are 3M VHB, so they'll stick to almost any non-porous surface, and certainly don't have any issues with sticking to vinyl (even if it has a leather texture) or leather.

Ah, I misunderstood. The magnet is between the ball and socket, and the ball attaches to any dash by adhesive strips. Thanks.
