I heard it will be the same for people who refuse delivery back in December

I ordered 11/1, got assigned a vehicle in mid-December and told them I had to wait till January. I can't see them giving me a car they're selling for $120k for $100k. Where'd you hear this?

My guess Y and Cybertruck will be the first to get new cells.

I love the new X! Especially:

    - horizontal screen
    - rear display for the kids
    - 22 speakers with active noise cancellation

I’ll defer judgment on the yoke until I’ve had a chance to use it.

I wonder if they put in a new skateboard with a filler plate that can easily accommodate the new cells when they’re ready for them without significant rework?

Certainly not enough to make me trade my mid 2019 Raven X. The 10K price increase is a bit of a head scratcher; I’m guessing that won’t hold. I’ll bet free unlimited supercharging will return when these start piling up inventory.

Pros: redesign looks good but a little blander on the outside. Did the car also lose fog lights? I like the additions to the interior including ventilated seats, higher equipment levels. If the colors are correct I think it looks better than the outgoing wood trim. It's faster - new motors? LR went from 4.6 to 3.9 0-100km/h.
Cons: loss of steering wheel stalks and the ancillary controls especially the turn signals, headlights to flash-to-pass, AutoPilot controls.

Disappointed but not really surprised by the lack of new battery cells. Unsure whether they redesigned the pack entirely. Still wished for a HUD but frankly didn't think it would happen.

Will wait to see if there are any other unexpected changes. 6 seater middle row - will it now fold?

    Overall, I think it's a step forward.

On the plus side, this should bolster the resale values for us current owners.

I place an order for an X long range 1/6. Just got the "We can talk tomorrow" message from my advisor. Wonder what they're going to do about the $10k+ increase. And the range went down.

Other people have said they got an offer to keep the order for +$8000, which would be $2000 cheaper than ordering today. I wouldn't expect much more than that.

Talked to my delivery specialist. I had booked my Model X last year and delayed the order to this quarter. Told me that if I want to get the new refreshed X, I need to pay 8K more to the current locked price (2 K price discount). If I do not want the new one, they will manufacture the 2021 model that has 371 miles range. Question is, do I want to pay 8K more or more. Asked for more information on the changes like are the drive shafts, 2nd row seats divider with cupholders etc. Was told to wait for a couple days.

I think you are correct on the Y getting them first. (Probably the ones made in Giga Berlin.) But my guess is the Model S Plaid+ will be the second to get them. Followed by the Tesla Semi, first of them to be delivered before the end of 2021, and then the Cybertruck, which has a small chance of some deliveries this year, but most likely starting in 2022.

Other people have gotten emails stating that they will not be making the old configuration. So the choice is pay $2k less than the new price or get your $100 back.

The will manufacture the old one? That seems incredibly unlikely. The production line is now updated for the new models. I can't see how they would be able to do that. Sounds like a misinformed advisor.

That is what I was told. I can opt for that and they will build that if I do not want the new one.

I believe you. I don't believe the advisor. :) Only way I can see it is if they have a demo on inventory already built.

I ordered X LR on 1/5 and the price was the same then as on the website now, 89,990
Elon said they would be increasing the price of Model S soon. Are people seeing a different price on X?

That is disappointing. Hope to find out why.

BTW, my current Model X can be up for sale now. PM if interested

Well. That settles that. R1S here I come.

That wheel. W-T-F. Way to take the item I hate the most from my Model 3, the wipers via the touch screen, and instead of correct the problem they continue to move in the wrong direction. And then expand that terrible idea and make the blinker without a stalk? Thats just asinine. Oh, and then just chop half the wheel off.

    Nope. Hard pass.

i agree...I really want to give Tesla my money but they are making it hard for me. That steering wheel alone, not to mention the price increase, is a dealbreaker for me and my wife. It’s a shame
