I have been, on occasion, known by some of my friends to make objects and things for events and projects. As some know and have, I made a nametag/badge out of acrylic using the Dallas Makerspace's Laser Cutter for a local TMC event. (lets just say that the nametag/badge is a -huge- hit.)

Just thought that I'd post the design file here. To edit the file, download Inkscape and open the file from within Inkscape. (don't try to just double click on the file under windows, as windows does funny things with svg files including but not limited to locking your system up.)

The nametag/badge uses a 5mm LED and a CR2032 coin cell. The acrylic that it is designed for is from Home Depot and is the 0.220" (5.588mm) thickness. The fastening part is from Hobby Lobby and it is cheap.
