Mandatory seatbelt/helmet law discussion for United States

Basically, I feel mandatory seatbelt and helmet laws are valid considering people expect to be treated in the hospital and even afterwards regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

That's why I never understood the problem some people have with an individual health insurance mandate.

I think safety-laws such as these are important!

If you do not see the need for it, you probably do not see the need for trafic-lights either!

Sometimes we have to lose a little bit of liberty to gain a lot on the other hand!

It is only after you saw or had an accident that you understand this!

The same goes on with drugs! It's prohibited, but o so fun to be "a rebel"! Until the rebel becomes an addict! It's no fun anymore then!

We can not have everything!
