Map Anomaly

When I used a recently constructed road (+/- 6 months) the map on the main screen recognized the road and showed my car on it. The navigation menu on the left side of the instrument cluster did not show the road and the car would not navigate over the road, even though it was several miles shorter than the old route. Anyway to get the two maps synchronized? Sorry if this has been addressed elsewher.

Google and Navigon use different databases to get their information. Typically Google is more up to date because of the way they acquire map data. Anomalies like this are to be expected anytime there are two different sources providing information.
