MAP automatically changing to Earth View

I have noticed that recently my map display when in Autonomous mode will change to Earth View without any user interaction. Additionally, it only seems to happen when I am at or near my place of business. This might be an interesting feature with some cool factor but little useful value. I am thinking it might be a BUG (Unexpected Feature Interaction).
