FYI, I’m in an SC waiting for a repair, and I asked about getting my Nav maps updated to reflect the new SR-99 tunnel in Seattle. I was told that the map updates are done at the SC’s only and not over the air as in the past. First I’ve heard this.

With Tesla trying to reduce Service Center visits by reducing the recommended maintenance and using more mobile service vehicles - it makes no sense that they would require a Service Center visit for a software or map update.

Requiring WiFi makes sense - but not all owners have access to WiFi.

Hi Padelford,

So, you were at a Service Center - Did they update your map data???

My X 100D March 2018 shows Software 2019.16.2 and Navigation data NA-2019.6-10236

How often are we expecting navigation data to update?

No, they didn't. They claim I have the most current map database, so getting the downtown SR-99 to show up as a tunnel is still to come.
