Didn't realize this was a thing till I saw someone mention it in the MPP Comfort coilovers thread. Explains the braking feel vagueness compared with my other cars.

I wonder if a solid infill 3d printed part could be as effective. Aluminum seems like overkill here.

Have you handled solid infill parts before, especially ABS printed? I use them as floor jack pads for the car, they're extremely solid. I've also made clamps for wood working, they're very sturdy.

The design here could be adapted to have the cutouts filled with a thin sheet of the plastic. Might be worth it for MPP to offer as a budget offering, even if they just print them, rather than having expensive plastic tooling made.

sliding or non sliding , you want a fixed secure source. Which is center mass of an object.

Yes, I have. ABS is still ABS, especially when heated.

There is actually a lot of force pushing on that brace, like easily 1500N and we trying to resist it moving a millimeter. That's a lot of abs to do it.

Used Nylon with Carbon fiber

Not to discourage you because I am sure it is a fun project, but we had to make multiple revisions of the billet aluminum brace before it was rigid enough to do the job. It is very unlikely that any form of 3d printed part would be effective. Nice work though!!

Well there are 3d printed rocket engines so I'm sure it is possible in principle
