Yes, 12/20 M3LR confirmed that there is no extra blue plug. (Pics in prior post).

Some of the other shots showed the heater wire routed through under the right scroll wheel. The bottom routing method looks more secure so hopefully that's the new method.

Ive taken the knowledge of knowing my vehicle does not have the heated steering wheel, and made use of it. A bit off-topic, but there is a guy here in Rhode Island who creates amazing custom steering wheels using real carbon fiber and leather that come out extremely well. Placed an order and will have it next week. I think itll look legit with my white interior and exterior.

I would like to say that I wouldn’t want anyone to make purchasing decisions (e.g. buying new wheels) or get too down about what I’ve said. I could ultimately be wrong, the stuff I’ve said is basically based on the current working theory about changed parts etc from a few different sources.
The harness on the car has always been made by GENTHERM, it appears. To add some confusion in the mix - this company appears (from Google) to specialise in heated components, so you’d think their part would be for that purpose? (heated steering wheel)
I’m basing this of the fact that you can find the steering wheel harness for sale in various places, without the extra blue connector, but made by GENTHERM. For example: TESLA MODEL 3 STEERING WHEEL PLATE BRACKET MOUNT W/ HARNESS OEM 2017 - 2019

I wasn't suggesting it meant heated, I wanted to check the harnesses are both made by the same supplier.

How do you enable it in the UI?
I've had my M3 for just 4 days. I know the steering wheel is heated because I can turn it on from the phone, but that's the only place I can find it.

@TunaBug ... touch the fan icon, then look at the tabs on the left... it's the bottom tab. You'll find the heated seats and heated wheel controls.

Doh! I obviously didn't look that far.
I think they could have reasonably allowed us to tap the steering wheel icon on the first page that shows in response to tapping on the fan icon. But Seattle has mild enough winters that I don't personally expect the heated wheel to be used all that often.
Will older cars be able to get a new heated steering wheel from Tesla as an upgrade?

- The option to heat the wheel doesn’t appear without Tesla coding it to the car (which the guy in that video wasn’t able to get them to do - he said the tech couldn’t find the option to do it
