AB was fun for a day and I’m a speed junkie, but to me I just couldn’t tell that huge of a difference to feel good about the 2K. The LR is just a dang fast car as is.
For the price it is a great bang for your buck, however like any vehicle modification your body quickly adapts to the feeling and it just feels normal.

You are right the LR is fast as it is, the AB for me is a no brainer as I know I have spent far more than that on my WRX's over the past 20 years with no real return.

No doubt gaining a half second for 2K is great! I’m a new owner and having driven suvs for the last 14 years no AB is keeping me happy for now. I’m sure I’ll come back to it down the road.

You are right. I feel that the car is not as fast as before, but when I show the acceleration to anyone, they feel sick. So yes, my body adapted quickly to the feeling. Anyway, no regrets :)

Bought the boost last night. Tried to shoot some quick film for my youtube and then hope to bring it to the dragway today, But got totally rained out, so that stinks. Youtube video up by tomorrow

I definitely feel its worth it. A very noticeable surge from 20-80mph

bought the boost, and it was enabled in the vehicle within 60 seconds. Crazy how responsive!

I bought it on day one and would do it again . I wonder if Tesla will ever offer an update that will allow stealth performance for an additional 2k or so for those already with acceleration boost
It’s possible with the earlier dual motor cars with the 980 motor, but for the vast majority of dual motor long range cars with 990 motors, they don’t have the hardware capable of it.

Tesla removed some MOSFETs from the inverter on the 990 motors to save cost.

I had the AB for a day. Didn’t feel worth it. Only seemed faster under 35mph. Rolling on at freeway speed to slip into a spot for a lane change or merging on a short on-ramp felt about the same.

Differences at each 10 mph boosted vs non-boosted:

0-10: 0.08
10-20: 0.06
20-30: 0.08
30-40: 0.05
40-50: 0.07
50-60: 0.07

Which all adds up to a total difference 0-60 of 0.41 seconds.... but really the 0-30 (0.22 quicker) and 30-60 (0.19 quicker) splits aren't too far different from each other.

(all #s cited without rollout)

There's tiny bit more available after that with the boost than without, but not much... (they finish the 1/4 mile 0.45 seconds apart in the data I've got for example, so only 0.04 seconds different from the gap at the 60 mph mark.

On the brighter side, I did just pickup the car back from getting a bunch of PPF and some ceramic tint.

Fingers still crossed for Wednesday.

11.8@116 is the goal

Do you have these difference breakdowns above 60 mph? I think the previous poster was really talking about freeway speeds (>60mph), which I also didn't notice a difference vs no AB.
