I think you are misinformed. These $2000 wheels you are referring to, whether they are VMR, Vorsteiner, TSportline, etc are not fully forged wheels. They are flow formed or flow forged so they are often misrepresented as fully forged wheels. Flow formed wheels are nowhere near as strong as fully forged which is why they are so cheap. There are nice videos by Rays and Titan 7 that show the process of making fully forged wheels. Not that flow formed wheels are bad. They are fine for the street, but I wouldn’t use anything but a fully forged wheel on the track. To my knowledge, Titan 7 makes the least expensive fully forged 19” wheel which runs about $2700. My fully forged Rays Engineering Volk G25 were about $5500. 90% of the wheels shown in this thread are not fully forged wheels.

The least expensive fully forged wheels are the 19x9.5" Speedwell RS-1 which are right at $2k. LINK
Worth noting that the wheels are NOT 18.6lbs. They are 20lbs.

Has anyone run these tires on their model 3? This was quite popular among the hot-hatch folks in VW/Ford and some BMWs....I enjoyed them on my Golf R before I tried the PS4S (which are arguably better but also a few hundred dollars more).
I actually preferred these Firestone's on track for its stiffer sidewall and more progressive feel when you're at the limit.
Just not sure about how loud it will be with the Model 3 and how it'll wear.

I would put these on some 19x9.5" wheels like TItan 7 TS5.

Thanks!

Not those specifically, but i'm running some S007A in 265/35/R19 on 19x9.5 at the moment. Got them for the price and extreme performance for track use. They aren't the best track tire (similar to a PS4S or so) but they're pretty good on the street and not too loud, way quieter than RE71s haha

Running VMR flow formed wheels since they're fairly strong and affordable, they also machine them to fit the P3D brakes.
