Again, everyone's rain environment and sensitivity to the amount of water on the windshield is different. So "wiper sensitivity up/down" fixes it for everyone.

Yeah, they actually *are* acceptable at this point. Still not perfect though, and my opinion is that they can't be perfect, simply due to difference in preferences. Is “gotten better” acceptable? Mine are still a heap of “sh1t” in reality.
I personally haven't had my Auto Wipers turn on phantomly, just some Phantom braking. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Auto Wipers controlled by one of the front cameras not an actual rain sensor like in some cars? If so, then Phantom wipers are likely related to the same bug that gives us Phantom Braking.I'm doing that too...for now. It's really starting to annoy me though. Wipers just turn on to level 3 all of a sudden while the sun is shining bright.

You're sure? If so, I might put RainX on my windshield. My previous car with automatic wiper specifically mentioned not to put product like RainX because it would adversely affect the rain sensor.no rain sensors in the model 3. they use the front cameras to deciding how much it is raining....
Rainx may shed the water so well that it’s not detected by the camera. Not a fan anyway b/c in my experience after a few weeks/months it forms a film when wipers are on.You're sure? For every "they're terrible" post, there's another "they're fine" post. Different persons have different tolerances for how many fluid droplets accumulate on the windscreen before wiping is perceived to be necessary. Some people will let water accumulate to a degree that others consider dangerous, or contrariwise some will prefer the wipers to be engaged at a point that others would describe as comically early. That's the very definition of it being a matter of personal preference.
time for a sensitivity/tolerance slider!
I'm intolerant to insensitivitytime for a sensitivity/tolerance slider!
I use the RainX wiper fluid in every one of my cars. Works great on the Model 3 also. You're sure? If so, I might put RainX on my windshield. My previous car with automatic wiper specifically mentioned not to put product like RainX because it would adversely affect the rain sensor.
Would be nice if the intermittent was more granular than the two speed currently offered. Now that my Model 3's third rainy season is here, I tried using auto wipers to see if they will work. Still awful. Back to intermittent.
Exactly. The auto wipe function is now better than it was, but still is far from perfect. More granular, more easily adjustable manual controls are needed. I am astonished that Tesla has neglected this part of its otherwise excellent Model 3 design.Would be nice if the intermittent was more granular than the two speed currently offered.
everyone is busy working on this FSD *sugar*.Exactly. The auto wipe function is now better than it was, but still is far from perfect. More granular, more easily adjustable manual controls are needed. I am astonished that Tesla has neglected this part of its otherwise excellent Model 3 design.
