Any reason not to install jacking pads permanently?

They fall off.

Anyone come up w/ any thoughts/ways to reinforce these? They're pretty weak. Is there something like a hardening foam we could spray into the cavity & then bore out the hole to make room for an adapter?

Well there was a guy on here that forgot them on, and when he went over something it ripped them out along w/ tearing up the already-frail jack point. In my case, that would reduce the ground clearance from 4" to <3.5".

Plus it would look idiotic.

However, it says that the lift range starts at 8+5/8".

If you jack up on the front jack point with another jack, can you get the rear jack point 8+5/8" plus the height of the adapter high, put this jack+jackstand under the rear jack point, jack up on the rear jack point some more, put a jack stand under the front jack point, then lower it a bit and lock the jack+jackstand into jackstand mode? Or the same procedure starting with the rear jack point?

It seems my jack plate cover? is missing on the passenger side of my Model X. Anyone know where i can purchase a replacement?

I got my jack pads on Ebay for anyone that's wondering, they came in 2 days and fits flawlessly.
