How was installing the 4 pt belt thing??I'm kind of obsessed with Horse Thief Mile - a short little track set into the hillside at Willow Springs Raceway that is normally used for drift events. I love the elevation changes and the tight-twisty corners. Not great for a heavy car like the tesla, I boiled my Endless RF-650 fluid after just a few hard laps, but it is fun. Couple videos of the event. The first of some practice runs and the second is pretty much the whole of the track time through the event.
Fairly straight-forward. The front anchor point is a little tricky, but once that is done installing and removing the belt is a snap. How was installing the 4 pt belt thing??
Did you have to drill anywhere? I want to install a 4 point belt system to allow all passengers to use the same HANS device, since with the Simpson Hybrid S one needs to be wearing the right sized harnessFairly straight-forward. No drilling needed. The anchors attach to existing bolts. The driver's side on is tricky to reach because it is covered. I have ended up at -5 on stability assist, 50% regen braking and 0 (right in the middle) on handling balance. What have people been using for track mode settings during autocross? I'm thinking that given the low speed, brief nature of the sport that it would be best to have regen turned off, since brakes aren't going to overheat, and it will be tricky to modulate with regen during quick maneauvers. What have people found to be best? And what about front/rear power split? I used to autocross RWD cars seriously for years but coming up Dec 5 I'll do my first event in years and first one in a Tesla.
It takes a while before you get to the point of consistently being able to put down fliers from run 1. As you approach that point though there can be a lot of frustration making a run and never matching it. But if you can drive aggressive enough, often times you'll under think a section and appropriately drive it but barely make it then fail to repeat it when your brain kicks in.Am I the only one that needs more than four runs to get up to speed on an autocross course?
How did you charge / manage charge at The Ridge? I've only been to Pacific Raceways, and the Auburn SC isn't far away.Went to Pacific Raceways and the Ridge Motorsports Park a few months ago — so much fun!
I've installed Unplugged Performance brake pads, stainless steel brake lines and brake fluid. Now trying to decide between Mountain Pass Performance Sports Coilovers vs Unplugged Performance Coilover Suspension Kit. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know
