Since you didn't read the entire thread...

Not sure what it converts to in Canadian dollars, but in the US (where the monthly cost is $10/month), there is an annual plan for $120 that is taken in 12 monthly installment payments.

It’s $13.99 CAD + sales tax ($15.81 where I am). I should have worded it as ‘I wish there was an annual option with a discount.’ So far in Canada just a $13.99/month option.

Yes, in theory. I haven't tried it myself but if you used your phone to create a mobile hotspot, you could stream YouTube/Spotify/Netflix from the car screen without Premium Connectivity.

Although at that point, unless you have unlimited data on your phone, the $9.99 per month would probably be cheaper than the mobile data.

Something to keep in mind for australia is that the internal antennas of the Tesla are very strong and almost always get reception. Same cant be said about my phone.....

I also subscribed to Spotify which is also $9.99 per month. I had previously read somewhere about "lifetime premium connectivity" but it wasn't clear to me when that ended...Just thought I'd add my two cents' worth.

I had premium trial on new Tesla & it expired, I’m now planning a road trip so I subscribed for the time being.
Great flexibility option!

I purchased the premium interior but I was notified that I have 1 year of premium and then must pay $9 a month for continuing service.... but Free would be nicer

It's free for life if you ordered before July 1, 2018. Otherwise it's free for 1 year.

You have to turn WiFi back on after you shift into drive. (every time.)

My trial ends in a few weeks from now. I didn't think I would pay for premium connectivity at first but I use Plex a lot when parked, and my car gets far better cell reception than my phone does so I think I'll subscribe.

If you want to tether your car to your mobile phone's wifi hotspot, all of the premium connectivity features except the traffic visualization will work on wifi.

Without wifi, however, all streaming video and music, including Spotify, will require premium connectivity.
