Most of you on this forum have been predicting a 60kwh battery for the MX sometime this month and you turned out to be correct.

MX 60kwh 200 mile range for $74,000. 130mph top speed. 0-60 6 seconds.

This is an excellent value. The battery can be upgraded to a 75 after purchase, however the cost is not yet posted online. Exciting news for those who want a MX at a killer price point.

now look at the price difference between the 60 and75 then look at it from 75 to 90 the cost just doesn't make sense isn't it all the same equipment except for the battery?
for the 60 to 75 your paying for 37 miles from the 75 to 90 is what 20?

60->75 is $9,000 USD
75->90 is $10,000 USD

That is a bunch of money just to add range. The 60 is going to sell well. Especially if you realize that superchargers are separated pretty well for a 60 to get up and down sections of highway. I expect many 75D 5-seat orders to ask to convert to 60. And it may get many of the reservations to finally confirm their deliveries into the 60. Remember - we heard of 35,000 reservations for MX and Production Vin # has only reached 14800 or so now and vin #s for US buyers are being given only a few days after confirmation.

Tesla have before said that they have higher profit margins on the more expensive version then the cheaper version wish make sense. The people who want to have the better versions is ready to pay more for it. It's like the ludicrous update, I don't belive for a second that it cost tesla even close to the $10k more to put that fuse in the car instead of the regular one but they know that people are ready to pay that much for it so they take that price.

I confirmed in February and still don't have a VIN. They have not handed out VINs to those who have coil and to those who did 5-seaters.
