Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

I haven't heard the P100D's having this issue at all. Your car should be unaffected unless it's an AP1 car (which I guess is technically possible). If you have cameras in the door pillars and side fenders, your car should be unaffected.

I don’t see why AP version would change the effects... Tesla sold p100d with ap1 for a short time before ap2 came out but the performance of the 2 are the same.

I do in fact have a rare AP1 P100DL. Why do AP cameras have anything to do with limiting power?

They don't Doc. It's the fact that the common denominator has been AP1, MCU1 and Performance cars are having this issue. The fact that you don't have those cameras tells me your car is an AP1 car.

When you select Ludicrous+ in this picture and you don't see the blue text on the left hand side saying Max Battery Power (where the red circle is), you have the issue.

Update: when navigating to the supercharger this afternoon I heard my pumps turn on ( exact same sound the max battery function made ).... I wonder as a temporary fix, could one just navigate to supercharger Station if one wants to get the temperature of the battery up for best performace?

No, it doesn't get hot enough (only ~32C)

Which, if we want to make this outrage worse - was advertised at 50C but my car hasn't gone to 50C for as long as I've been able to read the CANbus. Seems like it never happened or it's just reserved for P100D only. Last time I checked was only getting to about 44C

Ha ok next question then... what temp did the battery charge to when max battery was working?

If you're thinking because it's the next big update, statistics are not on your side. These are the firmware releases that have occurred since they introduced this issue.
