I would have thought including themselves on this list would be good publicity?
Tesla is apparently not interested. The most reliable data on Tesla sales comes from markets where automotive registration data is publicly available. All other sales data for other makes is self reported by those makes. Some do not break out interesting things like how many hybrids or EVs are sold when a nameplate has these different versions. For example, Fiat does not report 500e sales separately from ICE 500 sales in the US. Same for Kia Soul EV.
 
IIRC Elon does not want to participate in these types of sales reporting systems as in the USA they report sales monthly and the number of Tesla sales vary greatly on a monthly basis as they have only one factory and batch for location meaning one month when they are building mainly for overseas markets local deliveries will be low and this fuels "Tesla is doomed by falling sales" articles which he then has to correct.
Tesla have stuck to this policy even in areas where reporting is quarterly like Australia.
