This notice is to inform you that, after reviewing your request for reimbursement under Tesla’s General Recall Reimbursement Plan for the 8GB embedded MultiMediaCard (eMMC) in the media control unit, Tesla has determined that your request is ineligible for reimbursement because repair was not for condition described in Recall.

Had the bubbles then screen went blank. This was on our 2013 S.

I was denied for the MCU reimbursement, when it was clearly a MCU disk problem. Error code MCU_w031_cidSquashfsError was identified, and it's clearly a disk problem.
Anyone else has this nightmare with Tesla ?

Same. I had called the service line numerous times when it would keep rebooting, so I have that documented proof, but the eh said it needed to be previously analyzed and confirmed by the service centre. I had brought it to the service Center but they never diagnosed anything because they said it was a know issue and there was nothing they could do about it. Disappointed Tesla is pushing back so hard on this.
