I think once they release it to anyone who wants it, without the opt-in and rinkydink safety score bullshit, it becomes indefensible to not have a build for MCU1 cars.

But this is Tesla we’re talking about, and they can’t be trusted to do the right thing, so it may well be a “better call Saul” sort of situation.

I think it's pretty obvious we will need camera upgrades to get FSD Beta, as that tweet was in response to an FSD Beta question. I've opted out of the safety score. Feels liberating to have my car back although I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty pissed about the way this was handled.

Model S May 2017 +FSD .... after infotainment upgrade to MCU2 and HW3 Tesla upgraded 4 cameras for free. In March 2022/Canada/Ontario
