Not sure I follow what you mean by "MCU1 updates on hold/ended".Seems like we are stuck with this version forever until the elusive FSD beta is given to us
My guess is software updates. Many with MCU 1 are stuck on 2020.36.16. Been 6 plus weeks for me personally. I recently got AP swapped from 2.5 to 3.0 and got updated to.... same version of 2020.36.16Not sure I follow what you mean by "MCU1 updates on hold/ended".
My favorite is when they tell you to press the voice command button to bug report that voice commands don’t work. Yes, that happened.
Am I to understand that after moaning on here for well over a year that Tesla was screwing everyone by not offering MCU upgrades and demanding an upgrade path, you haven't upgraded your MCU?Seems like we are stuck with this version forever until the elusive FSD beta is given to us
No - my MS75D 12/17 MCU1 AP 2.5 is updating now. In my experience a good and stable firmware can persist for a couple months. The three 2020.36 versions have been particularly good for my car.Seems like we are stuck with this version forever until the elusive FSD beta is given to us
Same... woke to an update request.Just got 2020.40.9.2 also tonight on my MCU1 with AP1. Car is scheduled for the replacement eMMC chip replacement tomorrow.
I think this is quite likely. I’d expect a generally reduced “every several months” update cycle for MCU1 moving forward, bundling lots of bugfixes and releases together. The latest NHTSA notes regarding an MCU1 recall say Tesla expects 100% failure rates and reducing writes could increase lifetime. the slowed update cycle could be part of that "defect petition"
MCU1 with AP3 and just got 2020.40.9.2 today:

I have your set up and received 48.35 about a week ago. It did not improve anything. I can not trust my car. It stops at traffic signials of any color and has stopped for flashing lights.. If hovers closer to the center Line and just stopped controlling at the end of a turn. MCU 1 was checked by service, cleared, reset. most of this happened after this was done.. if I ever get the FSD update it will be exciting to see what the car does. You can check on update rollouts for the cars that have been registered at

Everyone will get some version of the Christmas update, just like every year.
