so over the past 2 days my MCU(2) on my MX (2018) has crashed about oh...20 times. on 48.12.1, no recent firmware upgrades that i recall. could be doing anything...driving, sitting in car. middle screen blanks, music shuts off and then climate. then comes back on after about 30 seconds. just curious whether anyone else is experiencing this and if it's just the usual glorious tesla beta (alpha) experience.
MCU2 here with 48.12.1. Definitely not crashing that many times. In fact I don't think it's crashed yet since 48.12.1.
48.12.1 has been nothing but trouble for me. Crashes quite a lot, but mostly while using Spotify (UK car, MCU1) rather than random.
Since updating to my current 48.12.1, I've had to manually reset my MCU a few times. Never had to do that before. Also, for the first time, I've gotten the 'grey x' for the dash-cam icon and have had to erase the drive and reformat. Before 48, it worked perfectly from day one (42.whatever). This has happened 3 times since the 48... update. The MCU had to be reset because the screen would start getting 'glitchy'. I.E., words on the screen were missing letters... icons appeared 'incomplete', etc.. For instance, the word "Climate" appeared "C ma e". I can't wait for the next 'up a e'!!
I experienced that once in early Dec/late Nov, but never before or again. 48.12.1 loaded a while back. And as always I did a full reboot.
Had issues with the 12V battery so it was towed to the SC. Why is this interesting and in any way related to your issue? The SC saw a few fault codes thrown by the MCU2 and replaced the SD card inserted into the module. No issues since.
Happened 2 times, once after supercharging the car locked me out until everything came back on again. Has anyone noticed that the car takes time to power-up systems before it lets you drive, sometimes the powering up takes a couple of minutes! My MX gives only about 95-100 miles on a 98% charge (going down to 15%)! Are these related to the software update or something else?
I get this only on the charging window from time to time with 48.12.1 Never had any graphics glitches like this before this update. Can't wait to move on to the next software release!
