One of the reasons that I bought FSD is to avoid collisions at slow speeds during parking and finally, Mercedes-Benz/Bosch has a system:
The autopark demo at the InterContinental Hotel, Los Angeles uses the exterior system with LIDAR to guide the path and communicates with the car to guide the car to a parking spot.
See all those low-height black poles on the ground below? They are LIDARs:

The current setup at the Stuttgart airport in Germany uses stereoscopic cameras installed on the ceiling of the parking structure instead of LIDARs on the US hotel ground for this demo.
It works with S-Class and EQS first but eventually, it can work with any modern car. I guess because it doesn't rely on the car's sensors, only the sensors from the parking structure.

Mercedes and Bosch's Automated Valet Parking Is Kinda Silly, but I'd Use It
Already in use at the Stuttgart airport, the Intelligent Park Pilot could solve a number of irritating problems.
