Is it possible to turn down the volume of the spoken voice messages?

I’ve tried to use the normal volume control and it has no effect

I havn’t figured it out either. Very annoying. and now my nav volume is all messed up (I have it muted and it still talks to me). Haven't tried a reset yet.

Voice commands work 1% of the time.
Previous voice commands now fail.
Can’t control message reading volume. Seems about 70%. Too loud.
Not tried muting the nav volume but guessing that is buggered too.

Weird. My voice commands work well. My text display, read outs, and voice texting works well (other than volume and nav volume now not working). Worth it for the battery heating.

For me genuinely only 1 in every multi-dozen voice attempts works.

I've the simplest way is to use the volume scroll wheel on the steering wheel while the message is being played.

Using the volume scroll does nothing when the TXT is playing. Says its changing the music volume (which it does) but doesnt affect the TXT volume.

Does nothing for me when the text is playing even at volume 0. It’s still about 70%.

I'm HW3 and voice commands in mine are just as bad. More than 90% of the time I just get no recognition I've spoken at all. When there's anything come up on the screen it's pretty much always wrong.

Particularly annoying because although the previous system was limited it did generally work (enough to be of use anyway, if not brilliantly). And of course Google et al got to a far superior system with very few errors for this some years ago now, even with our peculiar British accents.

Sometimes it understands the command, say to set the heating to 21 degrees then does nothing or says it’s doing it and nothing happens.

Try taking without a British accent!!! Hahah.. kidding..

Yeah we tried this many times, the main issue is it doesn't hear anything anymore never mind an accent!

Also noticed if you’re listening to the radio it doesn’t turn the radio volume down to play the text message.

I have December 2013 hardware which didn't originally have anything for incoming text. Only discovered this addition a few months ago. I too have no control over the volume the text is read.
