MFG Invests £400 Million in Ultra-Rapid EV Chargers - Motor Fuel Group

MFG, the UK's leading independent forecourt operator, will invest c.£400 million in Ultra-Rapid 150kW and 350kW EV Chargers over the next decade.

Motor Fuel Group announces investment plans! In the next decade, MFG plans to invest c.£400 million in Ultra-Rapid 150kW and 350kW EV Chargers across its UK network, including the installation of c.3,000 chargers at c.500 sites by the end of 2030.

This includes 200 150 kW chargers across 40 sites in 2021!

Charging network is to improve dramatically over next few months with this news and Gridserve/ecotricity plus others.

That's great news (as long as they stay around the 25p/kWh as Gridserve)... If they price themselves out and becomes more expensive than ICE, it will be a lot of empty chargers around!

Eventually there will be enough chargers that competition cuts in and they have to drop the prices. At the moment they're too scarce for that.. you basically have to go to the one that's available.

MFG own many of the BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco, JET and Murco forecourts so most likely widespread across them.
