Michelin Cross Climate 2 thumping noise?

I just had a set of CrossClimate 2 installed on my Model Y OEM 19” wheels. I have noticed a thumping sound (flat spot sounding) that is only noticeable on driver front side and on very smooth pavement between 20-50 mph. I swapped the front and rear tire to make sure I didn’t have a defective tire, but I got the same sound from both tires when on the front of the vehicle. Also my alignment was checked and it all is good. I saw a post on Reddit of a gentleman that was having the same issue with the set he put on his Audi (w/18” wheels). Has anyone else with these tires noticed this issue?

What if you swap both left-side tires to the right side? Will the sound follow?

I can’t go left to right directional pattern but I’ll put my summer rim back on (w/Vredstein Quatrac Pro tire) to see if the sound goes away. It is strange that the gentleman with the Audi described exactly what I am hearing.

I was having something like that with my CC2s I had on my CX-5. I traded my CX-5 in for the MYLR in October so didn't worry or investigate it further as I didn't care anymore. The CC2s were about 6 months old and didn't have the noise from the beginning. It was also on the driver front for me.

It had to have been the tires. I put my Hankook on summer tires back on, and the noise went away.

The current set is my 3rd CC2s and I've used them over two different cars (the other being (BMW X3). I would guess I drove about 140,000km in total.

I don't believe I experienced what you have described in the OP as it sounds like it is something I would notice.
