Just spoke to Michelin Customer Service.

The Pilot Sport EV will be available to purchase July 1, 2021 in the following sizes:

255/45R19
235/45R20
255/40R20
255/35R21
275/35R21

So 18” Aero Wheel people (including myself) are out of luck.

Looks like the Primacy MXM4’s again for me. Was hoping for a less expensive option but I’m finding out there’s nothing out there that at least meets the specs of the MXM4’s.

I may try the premature wear warranty credit option when the time comes. Should help bring the price down a bit. For me I was offered 25% off.

BTW Pilot Sport EV will have the acoustic foam but no rim rash protection.

Nice. Will like to see how these on the Gemini fare, especially ride comfort and range.

Silly question, would the 255/45R19 fit on Tesla Model 3 AWD with 19" rims? I think so but wanted to confirm.

Hopefully that pause is just to build inventory since they're sooooo busy mass producing them for tesla already - as long as they're out before these pirellis are trash, I'm fine. (And I only run them for like 6 months/year anyway)

I'm coming from the Porsche track world.
Smaller width = better cornering
Taller tire = smoother ride

Personally, I am mulling on moving to super light 19" wheels with Michelin Pilot EV 255/45R19 when available.

"Michelin" responded to my question on their promo video for the new Pilot Sport EV. I asked when the tire would be available in North America. On 7.12.21 they responded "Hi, the Michelin Pilot Sport EV will launch in seven weeks! Thank you, Team Michelin"

That said, I've called several dealers in the Southern California area to place an early order and they all said they have nothing in the system...

depends on how much you drive it. And even if they announce it on 9/30, would you actually be able to purchase it.

But is the release date end of September or December. They don't give clear info
