Michelin Pilot Sport Tyres (non Tesla)

Took my Model 3 into Kwik Fit for one new tyre today ( 1x Michelin Pilot Sport 4 ordered online in advance)
When I took it in guys were helpful but advised I needed 3 of 4 replaced.

In the end had the tyre I had ordered fitted at the front to match the other Tesla Pilot 4 at the front, and for the rear two tyres had 2 x Michelin Pilot Sport (but was advised these are not the Tesla specific ones????). If people don’t know what the hell im on about about Non Tesla specific Michelin Pilot 4s I’ll dig out the product code for these two tyres.

Anyway issue now is the Rimitrex do not go back on these two tyres!!!!! Anyone who can help or even advice Alibaba wheel covers that would fit?

I’m pretty sure the non-tesla ones have a bit more rubber around where the tyre meets the rim (rim protector) which is probably why you are having problems.

Doesn’t help with your question but on KwikFit’s website both the T0 and the non- OEM Pilot Sports show as having Rim Protection. One of my wheels will beg to differ. I had 2x T0 fitted yesterday and they look exactly the same as the original tyres (no design change).

I recently had the new Pilot Sport 5's fitted and so far have been very impressed with them. They are not Tesla specific but seem as quiet as the original Pilot Sport 4's they replaced.

+1 for the photo request. I am running Rimetrix "curb rash covers" and am about to go with the Hankooks... I'm mystified how the wheel cover won't fit...
