New MIC M3 SR+ with CATL LFP. This is a million mile battery.

59Kw/h

easily 250 mile range (at 235w/mile easily achieved by a single motor variant (my partner drives my M3P better than this!)

CATL LFP rated at 4000cycles:

1 million miles. Also safer and quicker charging.

Guess they did not 1. want to overshadow the roadrunner project 2. let the world know that the MIUSA M3s would not have this tech.

Thoughts ?

I don't know but I always think why would I want a million mile battery? I wont be driving this car in 50 years. Who knows what cars will be in 10.

LFP cells have less energy density than NMC cells. It was reported that only the Model 3 Standard Range Plus will get them because, it is optimized for cost and not performance. Don't know if that's true I read it somewhere.

I assume it's a heavier battery, slower car, single motor, slightly cheaper. Tesla says it goes 250miles so real world maybe 200 is reliable. It's the perfect car for someone who wants a super commuter or maybe some kind of municipal vehicle like a taxi. It would take you 14years at 200miles a day to hit a million.
