I was watching the Autonomy Day presentation yesterday and noticed that during the presentation they mentioned that AP3 hardware has an onboard H.264 video encoder for processing videos and to optionally support the user dashcam feature. Which made me wonder if AP2 was missing an onboard video encoder which prevented AP2 cars from supporting the dashcam feature.

Could the missing onboard video encoder be the reason why AP2 cars don't have the dashcam feature?

Does anyone know if AP2 hardware has an onboard video encoder?

Could just upgrade to AP3 hardware unlock the dashcam feature for AP2 cars?
