Missing retainer clips on aero shield wheel cover beneath car in front of battery housing

I brought my car into the shop in Tysons Corner Virginia on Tyco Rd to have missing retainer clips on the LH AND RH WHEEL ARCH LINERS INSTALLED beneath car in front of battery housing. They where missing when car was delivered. The shop said mission accomplished, but they were still missing (see photos) when I got home. My questions are: Do other owners have these retainer clips missing? Secondly, where does one go in tesla world to rectify lack of shop quality control. Everything I do now days has questionnaires “How’d We Do”. Only Tesla finds this step unnecessary? There response after heckling the service team seems to be sending someone to your house when the job requires a lift(all ways). What gives in Tesla world ?

These clips and installation can be found in the Model 3 Service Guide section 1601 step 81 detailed as part of the battery removal and installation. I’m frankly worried about how many other missing parts are not checked for on newly delivered vehicles. Do customer have crawl under their cars to do the quality control?

sadly, yes, you do have to check your car inside and out and make sure you are not missing anything. Based on my experience (I removed and reinstalled all interior trims for a few of my projects), and the interior is pretty solid in terms of missing parts or damaged parts, so focus on the exterior or mechanical things.

This is external under your car out of view. If you were to roll over a tree branch and backup and it got wedged in the wheel arch cover because it’s hanging down, the wheel arch cover in front of the battery could be ripped off. This is not cosmetic, but serious stuff!
