Mobile App Access After Delivery (Model 3)

I was just curious how long after delivery does it take for you to have access to your Model 3 through the Tesla app on your phone. Were you able to access it at delivery? Or did you have to wait a few days?

You gain access to it at delivery. It will eventually disappear for 24-72 hours and then return.

Be sure to keep your key card on you. This happened to me, a quick call to service resolved it.

They activate it at the time of delivery for you to familiarize with it. Then it's deactivated while they process your purchase paperwork in their systems at which point it is then reactivated. It's a crummy process but that's how it goes.

It's also because they deactivate their access at the same time. Transfer full ownership to you.

I enabled mine a couple hours after delivery and never loss access to it. Have never used the key card once except when they showed me at delivery.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info. I guess these are the types of things to expect from a new car company. Compared to the others Tesla is just a baby and will mature their process over time. All things considered, this is a minor annoyance.

Can Confirm - Currently kicked out of the App. "no products connected"

Took delivery yesterday around 5pm and charged overnight. Woke up with no phone connection

Too bad a technology company can't get technology right, at least in this regard.. This is not a hard problem to solve.
