Mobile app update is coming but I am not impressed with the rumored features

It may be time to close this thread, as the new app is no longer "coming" and the features are no longer "rumored". There are several threads where the version 3.0 app is being discussed.

While I like that Tesla is working towards letting you tell their servers through the app what you want your car to do and then reach out to the car for it, I dislike how the new app basically stalls (just like the old version) when waking up the car. If you get "Waking up car" at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone, you can't do anything else on the app until the car wakes up and resyncs the app. My car sleeps often, so the new app barely gives me a different experience than before.
