Mobile connector outside 24x7 ok?

recently installed nema to be used with the mobile connector for home charging. The mobile connector is plugged in and hanging. The plug is in a weather proof enclosure, but the connector is exposed to all sort of weather. So is it OK just to leave the connector like this? It is 4 feet above ground so it will never be submerged in water, but rain/storm will hit it from time to time.

I wasn't sure. But since I had to build an enclosure around my outdoor socket (which is only weatherproof when nothing is plugged in) anyway, I extended the enclosure so that it also covers the umc hanging off. The Front is plexiglass so you can see what the umc is doing.
