Mobileye 560 - The future is here! Your own personal co-pilot.

Here's a description in a nutshell - it's like having an extra set of eyes on the road at all times to give you audible and visual warnings in the event of the following:
    • you are following too close to the vehicle in front of you (i.e. headway monitoring)
    • an impending forward collision with another vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist
    • you stray or weave out of your lane (i.e. lane departure warning)
A bonus feature of Mobileye is called "Intelligent High-Beam Control". At night, the system automatically switches your headlights from high to low beam when it sees oncoming traffic to keep from blinding them.

We have been installing this revolutionary product for some time now. This is something you will wonder how you ever drove (safely) without it!

Here are some pics taken from the interior of a Model S with the system installed.

Pictured above is the windshield-mounted vision sensor unit with a compact High Dynamic Range CMOS (HDRC) camera and Mobileye’s SeeQ2® image processing board.

Pictured above is the user-friendly, high visibility Eye Watch™ Display and control unit, for visual directional warnings and numerical headway measurement display. It is mounted on the dash near the driver side "A" pillar in this pic.

Here is an alternative location to mount the display. In place of the factory pocket below the touchscreen we create a custom molded enclosure. It works well here when we install other Tesla upgrades (i.e. audio processor controller from Rockford Fosgate on the left and display/controller for the Escort radar detector system on the right)
