Mobility Scooter Carrier

I am planning the purchase of a Model Y in the next week or so. I am also facing the possibility of needing a mobility scooter in the next year. If I wind up buying a scooter, I will want to use a carrier that mounts to the trailer hitch receiver. Reading through the manual for the Model Y, I find two weight limits: 160 lbs for vertical loads and 350 lbs for trailers. Which limit would apply to a carrier for a mobility scooter?

Also, how much would carrying a scooter behind the car interfere with the car’s systems?

”Tongue Weight” will control which is generally 10% of the allowable tow rating so 10% of 3500# = 350#.
