I thought I would post this here as I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere. I just noticed that Tesla now formally sells a $35 kit for running with the aero covers removed (out of stock at the time of posting): Model 3 Aero Wheel Cap Kit
Kit is $50

Yeah I agree.
I ordered May 26th and got them today but didn’t get any order shipped email. Didn’t think it would be this quick....now the long wait till my model 3 gets delivered.
FedEx for me.What shipping method did they arrive by? US Mail? UPS? FedEx?
This is what I was planning on getting to remove caps: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...fl_title_12?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1HQH8VVLKWRRA
Had seen it suggested in other threads and perhaps even this thread.

Arnt they the same?Huge warning, the suction cup you linked to is complete junk. I purchased it and it has zero suction. Trying to move an item with your mind will work better than this suction cup. I returned and purchased the one below; it is cheaper and actually works. Fits the wheel caps perfectly.

Thanks for the input. I'll get this one as well and keep the one that works. They are the same product supposedly made by a different company. They looked identical too. But the first one isn’t made to spec so it does not actually pull the suction cup up to lock into anything. There are a lot of recent review on the item having the same issue. The one I linked to is flawless, the one I received at least.
I know I'm repeating myself but a box cutter knife easily removes the center caps if you insert it carefully and move around the edge. You can easily nick the cap (or your hand) if you are not careful.Huge warning, the suction cup you linked to is complete junk. I purchased it and it has zero suction. Just ordered my cap kit! I think it looks great w/o the aero covers... just find it strange that Tesla doesn’t provide a tool to remove the cap so we can switch back and forth (I plan on putting the aero covers on for long trips).
I heard (and saw on YouTube) that these suctions work really well: https://amzn.to/2uElJUm
For $7, worth a shot without risking scraping up my wheels using a knife or other means!
