Coming back from Germany, I decided to max out the car on an empty stretch of Autobahn. I can report that it's very stable but consumes charge faster than you can say "where's the next supercharger"! There's a bit of wind noise too - oh, and it makes your palms very sweaty!
Bjorn Nyland has some interesting high speed Autobahn testing youtube videos if anyone is interested.
Sorry, I didn't mean it that way, LOL. I remember because TS is 162 and I hit 151 before I HAD to back off. Coming down from that speed charged the car right back up. Love it!
Another interesting observation was that I passed a police car at about 120mph. I find it odd that if I did that in the UK I'd be looking forward to a prison sentance, but in Germany it's completely legal.
At those speeds, wind resistance will be slowing the car even more than regen. Amazing the performance built into these remarkable cars. What Jaguar used to call Pace and Grace.
Autobahn can be scary. In a previous car at (only) 125mph I had some nutter slipstreaming his motorbike very close behind....
its smooth I'd assume due to it being aerodynamic. My problem with it was the speed at which it consumed charge made it impossible to drive fast on long journeys as a warning would appear that you wont make it to the next charger.
I have not been those speeds, but Personally I do not feel it is as planted as it should be, I find it very twitchy at high speeds, though our roads are crap in this country.
