During my weeklong X rental, one thing I discovered was that cross country cruising is significantly more enjoyable than in my S because the front windshield gives a much better view. Pictures and video of Model 3 appear to show a windshield, that while not as dramatically airy as the X, still has the front bar up and out of the driver's sightline. For me, this alone could make me switch to a 3 from the S. We'll see - I have a day one, existing Tesla owner, California Model 3 reservation - will buy a 3 for sure. If the ride is as good as my S and the sightlines are better I may dump the S. On the other hand the S will surely improve significantly in the next few months.
