Just wondering if the M3 has something approaching the bio hazard level cabin filter as the model S and model X have, this question struck me while driving around in the smoke yesterday?
these appear to be well made filters, I did a quick google search of the part numbers to see if anything popped up but could not find anything, you would think that soon a manufacturer would offer a nice aftermarket carbon impregnated version (if this one does not already have that)

Thanks very much, found one reference on page 93 of the manual, but nothing else. Did notice that it was very good air inside versus out side the M3 yesterday. But we’re not in the thick of it, yet.

Looks like it's got a layer of carbon filter which would help reduce bad smells from the outside. Definitely not S or X level filtering but it's pretty good.
if the vent is not on recirculate then you can definitely smell the outside pollution, just get behind any 1970's car for a few seconds and it won't take long to find out!, I just leave mine on recirculating always
