I called Inside Sales about an hour or so ago and they told me my delivery is still on track for "3-6 weeks from the time of order".

I wonder if the June deliveries are a BC thing? So far three people that have reported to have received the call are in BC.

TrevP posted on the Model 3 Owners Club Forums that he has heard Canadian deliveries will start in the next couple of days... and odd that VINs haven't yet been assigned... really hoping for pre June 8!! Please!

So not one Canadian has been assigned a VIN yet deliveries are to start late April early May for those out east? That makes no sense. If anyone was to get a delivery by late April they would have their VIN by now.

I’ve read that before. It’s been in print for quite a while. I think it’s more applicable to the S and X which are to a large extent built to order. Want one now? Built to order for June delivery.
Tesla appears to still be mass producing the First Production 3’s prior to VIN assignment and then assigning VIN’s just prior to transportation or in California’s case just prior to delivery.
Wouldn’t be surprised to have a CDN production run when the line first starts up again with VIN’s assigned just prior to transport.

Absolutely... with the June election coming soon, I assume Tesla (if they actually monitor it) would try to get them shipped before end of May. 12 weeks from Configuration to Delivery seems excessive.

If I chose Tesla financing as an option, then how would they process credit application within such a short time frame, if they just provide VIN before transportation?. I read somewhere that credit application/financing will be done at least one month prior to delivery

I have contacted Scotiabank for Car Loans, and they told, all Auto loans have to be initiated by Dealer. they do not provide auto loans directly to the customers. is it correct?. I yet to contact RBC

My RBC branch said the same thing, their rates are 7%+ and they don’t usually do car loans through the branch.

Tesla said it is 4.25%. I think, if we go though Tesla, they may offer better prices.

3.90% for 36/48/60/72/84 months and 4.25% for 96 months from Tesla.

Scotiabank said the same to me, that the dealer handles the Financing and that they have their own underwriters ( A bank/insurance company). They did say that they can offer a LOC to finance the car.

Tesla's underwriter is RBC last time I called.

I feel somewhat envious that the US banks offer better rates...

Tesla will ask you to fill out a credit application and submit it for you. You will have time for them to arrange it once they have asked you to submit it.
