I just off the phone with them too. Got transferred to my actual delivery specialist.

So, they don't know why people that delivered couple days ago got VINs, but they said that the people that configured before April 15th are the priority right now. This "rough date" is probably going to be the cut-off for the first batch at the International centre.

At least I have the extension of my delivery specialist.
I got the same info. April 15th seems to be the magical date.

My interpretation. They're assigning VINs based on what's available and what they're working on. so those with aero's are getting VINs now.

More importantly, the configuration date will be based on delivery timing so those who configured before April 15 should get their cars first.

Therefore they'll be some who get VINs this week and deliveries in 2 weeks.
They'll be individuals who got VINs but will be waiting another 4 to 5 weeks based on when they configured.

I rather be in the "Former" group

Hopefully. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to see this unfold. Taking the bus is really aggravating right now.

My Model 3 tesla page updated to show me the option to fill out my credit application, the problem is my registration address is incorrect. The Tesla service folks were unable to help me since they didn't have the access to make that change. They transferred me to the 1888 # (picked option #2 for myTesla account support), and just waited and waited until I eventually hung up.

I haven't received a call from Tesla yet regarding which DA I was assigned. Was hoping to get the credit application stuff done sooner than later. Does anyone know if there are any other numbers I can contact to hopefully get this resolved?

My Tesla info has some incorrect information too, my date of birth is incorrect by one day. Not sure what happened, maybe fat fingered the actual date, and it's one day wrong. Tried calling, and the Tesla folks weren't able to update it, still waiting for the DA to call and hopefully they can correct it as i'll be financing with Tesla for my vehicle.

You seemed to have have gotten lumped in with previous owner invites who the majority haven't recieved VIN's either (like myself who configured Mar. 22!). And here I thought configuring right away was going to mean getting one of the first cars. My delay is likely the 19" wheels though. The good thing is its better to have a later car as they are working out kinks on the production line.

I'm definitely lumped in the with the previous/current owner orders. I was just thinking of whether that is my issue. Why would those orders be on the back burner? I also thought configuring sooner than later would help get my order processed faster. Shows what I know, I guess.

Huh, that's interesting. Nobody has said anything to me about an April 15 cutoff date. Hope it holds true. But as for assigning VINs based on what's available, would those of us who configured earlier not have received VINs already? I've seen a half dozen or so reports of people stating they got VINs for MCR with Aero builds who ordered several weeks after I did. It's clearly not a first in first out situation as we were lead to believe it should be based on the invite batches.

I understand what you are saying @pmich80 regarding getting assigned VINs later but taking delivery before/at the same time as those who already received VINs.

I really think they assigned VINs they had on the lot and missed your because of some sloppy clerical mistake. I think they have to start assigning VINs starting this weeks production. Why would the Production manager have to get involved. He should know which cars are on order by date.

The person I spoke to would not comment or even entertain listening to what I had to say on the matter. I really had to stress repeatedly (in a polite way) what I was trying to say. He just seemed to want to repeat the same canned responses over and over again. I think I finally got through to him. He even told me that what people say on the Internet isn't always true about their orders. Had to tell him I saw screenshots of people's MyTesla accounts (which is true) with all the proof. Named off some VIN ranges for Canadian orders and then he finally agreed to raise the issue.

I thanked him repeatedly for his time and efforts. Just hope he really did send the info up. All I want is some clarity on the matter. I don't think I'm asking for too much.

I called Tesla and talked to DS. she told me that first batch of cars are arriving next week and second in last week of May. my car will be in the second batch. She enabled credit application on my account and I submitted the application now.

I have ordered on 30th March, and my VIN assigned on 3rd May. I fall under second batch (May end delivery to Toronto)

I still can't believe how much 19" wheels are holding things up. After standing in line on March 31st/16 then configuring on March 27th, it's pretty absurd that so many people who both reserved and then configured after me are getting the car sooner.
