I have ordered a red AWD with 19's. Reserved first day in line downtown Vancouver. Ordered June 27, 2018. Still waiting. Was in Vancouver yesterday with my 19 year old son. I booked a test drive. We had to wait but eventually got out in the car for a short drive. They told me that another customer had stayed out in the car too long so my test drive would have to be shorter???? The 19 year old was not allowed to drive??? Anyway, I drove a black AWD with aero wheels. Very impressed. Don't bother with the Chill setting or comfort steering. The rep told me that they have been delivering AWD's in Vancouver. I hope that mine is coming soon. This is a great feeling car. I sympathize with all of the ramp up pains. After production hell, we are now followed by delivery hell and then next will come service hell and ... It is all part of the process of a company growing exponentially. I have no doubt that they will get there and this will all be in the rear view mirror soon. As will many cars as you leave them in the dust and hopefully, no police?

It would be nice but I think everyone is getting these codes now or am I wrong?
I believe you are correct about many getting the code. I meant more so that it was nice to actually get a call to ask if I wanted to book a test drive rather than what appears to be the norm of the customers calling and requesting (or using website). Just hopeful that it means something positive I guess.

Whats your config? Also were you at the west 4th or downtown location?

Was it a black AWD Model 3 or Model S? I think their demo right now is a model S.

Never heard of anyone getting an AWD in Vancouver, nor Canada yet....

I'm thinking the same. As silly as this might sound, could the Rep be wrong? Was the model information actuality showing dual motor since there is a chance that the badge wasn't put on.

I found a slight hiccup with Tesla today. On August 1st I was assigned someone to my account from Tesla named Emily who i believe is in the delivery team. I found out today that her group are the ones who assign you a VIN and being that i'm assigned to her, she's responsible for getting me a VIN. The rub to all this is that she's been off work for 2 months as of June 11th and only got back to work today. Hopefully she responds to my email soon.

Test drove the M3 in Oakville. Yup. This vehicle makes my ICE feel and look ancient.
Tesla=great cars...not so great delivery. Since my deposit I have had zero contact from anyone from Tesla-my only ability to stay informed has been through forums like this one.

Anyone that picked one of these up with the 14K rebate got a steal.

Just have to be patient, they're working to get these cars out to the end customer. I never made a call or email after placing my order on the 26th of April. About two weeks in, they gave me a VIN. Then it was changed to a higher VIN after my financing was finalize with RBC. From order to delivery was ~seven weeks; which was in-line with the stated four to eight weeks after order confirmation.

I've already waited for 11 weeks (ordered May 24th) ... not a single email !

FYI re AWD and Performance deliveries, see stats in my post in another thread based on 640 orders. No AWD or Performance VINs or deliveries to Canada yet :( sample size of 30 Canadian orders)

Today I actually got a call back from the person I last spoke with at Tesla. I was told that there is no VIN assigned but they can see that my order is moving through the different internal departments and progress is being made. According to her, I should have a VIN assigned by the end of the month at the latest. Not getting my hopes up.

First place I'm looking is here:

Search for Jobs | Tesla Canada

Specifically Delivery Experience Specialist. With amount of pending orders they need to fill for Canada alone, they'll need to higher a bunch of guys to meet the demand. If you see a bunch of postings pop up for Vancouver and Toronto then that's the sign they're beginning to ramp up deliveries again.

If you were at the W. 4th Kitsilano store, the black 3 is a LR RWD demo car and not AWD. The earliest delivery of dual motor 3 is expected in September. Not sure which DS you were talking to but that is false info. The black demo 3 was definitely a RWD drivetrain.

Were you able to find out if you can reserve for the CEV grant? if so, please share.
Sorry, the contact said that "they do not start the process on reserving the funds until a VIN is assigned to your account and best to know if you have a VIN is through your Tesla page". I was super bummed out to hear this as it would suck that Tesla owners reserving back in June may not get a rebate if they get delivery end of September (projected when it will run out) vs. someone buying another EV end of August at a dealership.

Thanks for confirming. Thought it was odd how an AWD showed up all the way here in Canada, especially for a demo. Maybe the performance model since there was a large batch created for demo purposes.
