Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

I have a VIN and a March 5th delivery but no contract. I know for sure though it is held up finalizing my trade all over again (new value and balance on lien). I had a delivery specialist reach out to me yesterday to get all the necessary information.

I also learned I have to call Scotia after everything is said and done to try and get them to change me to bi-weekly payments. Tesla can only apparently set up the load as Monthly. That threw me for a loop

Well I think I'm getting closer to having a contract. Lots of back and forth over email today with a delivery advisor and they asked me to drop off the plate portion of my ownership at Lawrence which I did tonight. I asked the guy who was in the store tonight if he could give me any insight on where the car was and he looked it up and could confirm it was out of California and on it's way. 8 days and counting!

Does Tesla notify you in advance before delivery date? 1 week?

I'm trying to get my bmw lease taken over at the same time.

Good luck timing that! They notified me yesterday, which is 6 days before the timeframe when they said delivery would be. They gave me a 3-day window in which the delivery driver would drop the car off, and couldn't even guarantee that he would call beforehand to let me know he was on his way. This is for home delivery though; if you pick up at a service centre, you'll be better off.

Likely you will get a call, but it’ll only be an hours notice at best. Hope your French is good, a lot of the delivery drivers Tesla uses have heavy accents. I used to be fluent, but I hard a helluva time understanding the driver I got. :D
If your driveway/neighborhood is a little tight for a semi, you might want to pick a nearby mall parking lot as a backup. Just Incase. ;)

My French is pretty decent; hopefully it'll be OK! I work from home, so I'm not too worried about having enough notice, thankfully.

The road up to my apartment is definitely tight. I think we'll need to arrange an alternate location unless the driver can squeeze into the visitor parking lot at the bottom of the hill. There are plenty of big parking lots along the Bedford Highway that could be used. I assume it only takes a few minutes to unload the car from the trailer?

My delivery been postponed to Mar 4th. They said they are waiting for parts to repair. What does it mean? The car is broken before delivery?

It is not uncommon for something needing to be fixed after delivery. I bought Hyundai years back that I found out later that the front fender was replaced before delivery. I know in BC they can fix up to $2000 before delivery and not have to tell you.

Pretty much. Depends on where exactly they load your ride on the trailer.
I still remember having to block traffic on my road so the trucker could turn around after he unloaded near my house. :D

I logged in this morning and my delivery date was changed. Confirmed it with my delivery gal, it’s still an tentative date and can change again. Sigh...

So weird, we have the identical config except for FSD, same VIN date and nothing has changed for mine. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen to me. You would think they would all be coming in on the same train.

Logged in this morning and it still says March 5th, but no contract/agreement yet. Sent my Delivery Adviser a follow up email, will see where that goes.

Its getting more real, the mats and everything have arrived from Amazon and I picked up a HPWC yesterday to replace the J1772 L2 charger that I had on the side of my house for my Volt.
