Model 3 can't connect to iPhone hotspot after iPhone updated to the ios 15

Hello all,

My first post here. Hope all of you are well!

Has anyone had the same experience? My Model 3 couldn't connect to my iPhone hotspot after I updated the phone to ios 15. Searched through the internet and it might be due to ios 15 is using WPA 3 as security for the hotspot connection while Model 3 is still using WPA2?

If that is the case, then maybe you can configure how the iPhone exposes its hotspot? The security mode is one of the options on android phones at least. Maybe it defaults to WPA3 but you can bring it back to WPA2...

On IOS 15 (I am currently using 15.1 beta 2) or later, you’ll have to enabled Maximize Compatibility to have the Tesla connect to you iPhone hotspot.

I have the same problem and I have “maximize compatibility” selected. I’ve reset my phone and Tesla. No luck.

Same problem here with 15.2.1 .
rebooted both iphone and car.

I’ve let premium connectivity expire to see how Wi-Fi would work day to day. Not going too well so far.
