There is a big structural difference.

Hence on a part made in epoxy/polyester mold in a garage versus a part made in a metal mold in an autoclave process.

I purchased the matte black TSportline Model 3 spoiler and installed it today. I used the templates to align the spoiler but there were still gaps between the trunk and spoiler. I assume that is why a tube of Wurth’s bond and seal was included with the spoiler. I tried adjusting the spoiler along the trunk and couldn’t get the spoiler to sit flush to the edge of the trunk without a huge gap. I ended up applying more 3M double sided tape to the spoiler and using 1/3 the tube of Wurth’s seal and bond to close the gaps. You don’t notice the gaps that go with the rest of the Model 3 unless you’re close up or looking for it.

I’m not sure if it is the spoiler or the quality control at Tesla with different shaped trunks, but it was time consuming and a pain in the butt to apply the Wurth’s seal and bond. After the all the trouble, the Tsportline spoiler does look really nice and when my Tesla performance upgrade package spoiler arrives it will be for sale locally.

Unless you have patience and about 2 hours of time playing around with the seal and bond and cleaning up after, stick with a spoiler that doesn’t wrap around the edge like Franz’s spoiler.

Trust me, I’m a big fan of TSportlines and have bought 6 sets of wheels from them in the past for my Model X, S, and 3. The spoiler was a little bit of a let down with the gaps that you can see. I had my paint protection film installer help me with the install, so there were 3 of us trying to align the spoiler.

Just an honest review. Pics of my X running TST 20” on Pirelli winters and my Model 3 with TST 19” with Nokians which both look great.
