Model 3 chassis in the waiting area at the Hawthorne Supercharger?

I just got a tweet that someone saw a shorter chassis on display at Hawthorne Supercharger today. ]
It that true has anyone see it?

Sure, Tesla won't even reveal the design to most of their employees before they can pre-order, but they leave it outside guarded by just a receptionist for everyone to see. Seems plausible...

The tweet is about just the base of a Model 3, so most of the design would not be revealed. Still unlikely though.

And why would they just leave it lying around outside? There is absolutely zero reason for it to be at a public supercharger, and absurd to believe that a lone receptionist can stop people from taking pictures, unless she is physically larger than the chassis itself...

I'm in LA. Not near Hawthorne, but close enough that I could technically make the drive. I sat on my couch at 9 PM last night contemplating driving down there to see for myself. Didn't pull the trigger, but here I am still considering it... Problem is I don't know if anyone would believe me either lol in which case, if I can't get a picture (which I'd try to, but sounds like it wouldn't happen), then it would be kind of a waste of a trip. I don't know enough about engineering to take much from a chassis alone.

Still thinking about it...

Those that know me best know I'm the king of inconspicuous picture taking. If it's possible, I'd pull it off. But it sounds like there are no guarantees. I've never been down there before, so I don't even know what I'd be walking into.

Model S chassis. That guy has no idea what he talking about.

Very small frunk area and rear motor is right up against rear bumper. Battery might fit on this chassis and be compatible

Reminds me of a an electric car they built on TopGear a few years back. Nice square design. And it appears to be solar powered.

Iirc, a Roadster skateboard has been displayed there before - easy enough to think that's for the Model 3 if you haven't seen it before.

If, in fact, it is tied to the Roadster, it would make sense. With all the attention coming to Hawthorne shortly what could be better than displaying a major part of Tesla history for invited guests and press.

Got work off tomorrow last minute... Now I'm REALLY thinking about going down there. Worth it? Does anyone think there's even a chance it's really there? He said someone stopped him from taking pictures..
