Anyone here with the white model 3 Dash willing to swap for the wood dash? Located in the GTA if you're willing to swap.

If you are going to wrap the wooden trim, note that the surface is not smooth and you will be able to feel/see the wood grains through the vinyl. Especially with matte color.

wrapped it sunday. soooo, it's been ~4 days. did the 'wood grain' form with time? or it was on the original dash?

Yes, the wood grain surface came from the original dash (Oct 2018 build). I heard that the white dash has smooth surface. My speculation is that using the heat gun too much during application probably caused the wood grain to show through the vinyl.

How hard was it to remove the dash? I'm thinking about muting the silver with Red.

It looks pretty easy....I keep debating buying a white dash insert (can get one from Tesla for ~ 330), or just wrapping mine white. May try the vinyl first as its much cheaper, but for those who have done this: how do you deal with the metal front part? Just trim the vinyl?

pretty easy. i watched a couple youtube videos then pulled it out. putting it back in (smirk*) is harder, but i smacked it lightly a few times and it went it (smirk*smirk*).
